POSTCARDS FROM LOCK-DOWN (2021)
‘Postcards from Lock-down’ is a continuation of my ‘Postcards from …’ series, but with a pretty significant difference. These are paintings of whimsy. During what was a really trying time for many, I decided it was time to paint a much more light-hearted and fun series. And as sunshine always contributes to our best travel memories, each of these paintings is bathed in the light of an enormous rising (or setting) sun. Or maybe it’s a super moon …
Starting here in Australia, I visited each of our capital cities, but I have since ventured abroad on this fun trip down memory lane. My paintbrushes and I have also returned to the US, Denmark, Italy and Paris, London, China and Japan.
